Incorporated in 1989, Sumitomo Electric Sintered Components (M) Sdn. Bhd. (SESC) is Malaysia's first manufacturer of structural Powder Metal (P/M) Parts, operating as the regional base for Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd.

Since its establishment in Malaysia, SESC has become the region's largest and most advanced Powder Metallurgy (P/M) manufacturer, contributing to its growth through active development and promotion of P/M technology.

In 1999, so as to widen its manufacturing capabilities, SESC expanded its facility to produce Saw Wire (SW) for the semi-conductor and electrical appliance industries.
