Segamat Panel Boards Sdn Bhd (SPB) was established in August 2002 and its major shareholder is Mr. Shigetoyo Takeuchi. He is the son of Mr. Hikozo Takeuchi the founder of Takeuchi MDF and the cofounder of Merbok MDF.

An experienced team with MDF manufacturing background was assembled, led by Mr. Peter Fitch (Managing Director) who was fresh from installing an MDF line for PTP in China.

In September 2016, SPB acquired UC Gravure Sdn Bhd (UCG). UCG is a manufacturer of quality decorative printed paper which complements our installed state-of-the-art paper lamination line.
