The YKK Group operates in many parts of the world, providing its different customers with high-quality products and excellent after-sales service. In 1961 YKK spreads its wings to Malaysia, the first ever-foreign affiliate in South Asia. Operations started fully in 1962 when the company under the name of MALAYAN ZIPS SDN. BHD. was incorporated with the completion of a factory in Johor Bahru.

Since then we have come a long way from manufacturing our first product the Metal Zipper. Our products have now included the Nylon Zipper, Vislon, Concealed Zipper and a wide range of fastening products.

In order to reflect the corporate identity, the current company's name has been changed to YKK (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD.
