For overseas operation of SMC, Thailand has been one of major business market with long history. In August 1972, former Sumitomo Construction Co., Ltd. together with other Thai shareholders established the subsidiary company name Thai Sumicon Co., Ltd. (TSC) here in Thailand. with back-up of the parent company, TSC has served as pioneer for construction industry over thirty years.

According to the merger of SMC, TSC was renamed into SMCC (Thaland) Co., Ltd. in 2004 Since its formation, SMCC has risen to the challenge of providing flexible and adaptable solutions to the satisfaction, increasing shareholder value, respect for the effort of its employees. Till today, SMCC maintain his position as a main player in construction industry.
