Tokio Marine Safety Insurance (Thailand) Public Co., Ltd (formerly Tokio Marine Insurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited ("TMITH")) began its operation as Hua Sieng Co., Ltd. in June 26, 1946 and in 1952 the company was renamed as The Sri Muang Insurance Co., Ltd.
In 1971 the company made a firm step toward business expansion through its joint venture with Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd., the oldest non-life insurance company in Japan, and The Dowa Fire and Marine Insurance Co., Ltd. With forty years of collaboration with Tokio Marine, Sri Muang Insurance was renamed as Tokio Marine Sri Muang Insurance in 2010.
From October 2012, after shares acquisition by the Tokio Marine Group and to enhance synergy with the Group, the company was renamed ‘Tokio Marine Insurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited’.
The company provides a wide range of products and services to suit the needs of different customers whilst being a Thai Marine insurance business leader and one of the top ten insurers within the General Thai insurance market.
The company has a nationwide network of twenty one branches covering major cities including its head office in Bangkok.
